Can you engineer serendipity?

Given serendipity is by its very nature random, in its purest form it is very difficult to engineer. The answer isn’t to give up on trying to add serendipity to peoples’ lives but rather help surface things that increase the chances of having a serendipitous experience based on the data we do have.
