Gawker gets ambitious about e-commerce

Apparently, Gawker Media is serious about its e-commerce business. In a memo to his employees outlining some business-side promotions and departures, founder Nick Denton said Gawker Media should bring in at least 10% of its revenue this year from e-commerce. The company is also seeking to hire specialists in "commerce content," a role that merges writing and product curation. Original Story
