Publishers see Apple Newsstand sales surge

Condé Nast is the latest publisher to claim a boom in digital magazine sales from the launch of Apple’s Newsstand. The publisher said new subscription sales across all nine of its digital editions were up 268 percent compared with the previous 8 weeks. The success of Conde and others seems to validate the demand for a separate area of the App Store for periodicals. Original Story

    The only thing I want to know is what kind of battery life does the PlayBook have? RIM semeed to forget to talk about that. With Flash, multitasking, video calling and possibly 4G capabilities, and a much lighter tablet than the iPad how long will this device last in a day? Hopefully longer than an EVO 4G.
