Twitter launches political index

Twitter and real-time search engine Topsy are launching the "Twitter Political Index," a daily assessment of how Twitter feels about Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. Twitter has retained Democratic and Republican polling firms to help perfect the index, which will pore through every tweet in real time. Original Story
